Registered Practical Nurse in Oncology

Humber River Health seeks a Registered Practical Nurse to enhance our Oncology Daycare Unit. Be part of a supportive team dedicated to high-quality cancer care.

In this temporary full-time RPN role, you will provide essential patient care within the scope of practice defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Your responsibilities include collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, monitoring patient symptoms, and assisting in developing comprehensive cancer care plans. Effective communication with patients and their families will be a vital part of your job.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver cancer care focused on patient and family needs

• Monitor and support cancer-related symptoms

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members

• Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Completed a recognized RPN nursing program

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum 2 years oncology experience

• Current BCLS certification

• Strong organizational and communication skills
