Registered Nurse in Imaging Services

Become a vital member of the imaging team as a Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This rewarding role focuses on patient assessment and support in MRI, CT, and ultrasound modalities.

As a Registered Nurse, you will engage in essential patient care tasks, including setting up procedures in Angiography and administering sedation.

Your role will emphasize the principles of patient-centered care while working alongside an inter-professional team. Your technical skills and critical thinking will greatly enhance patient experiences in medical imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments and interventions for patients

• Assist in diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures

• Administer conscious sedation and monitor hemodynamics

• Prepare patients for imaging and handle their recovery

• Advocate for patients within a multi-disciplinary team

Requirements:

• Experience in Medical Imaging, Cath Lab or ED preferred

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required

• Current BCLS and preferred ACLS certification

• Skills in critical thinking and problem-solving

• Capacity to maintain composure in high-stress situations
