This temporary full-time position involves working 12-hour shifts, contributing significantly to a 39-bed medically complex continuing care unit. Candidates must have advanced critical thinking skills, medication administration experience, and a current nursing practice certificate.
Your role centers on delivering quality nursing care, teaching, and patient support within best practice protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care to medically complex patients
• Teach and coach patients and families effectively
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
• Adhere to standards of nursing practice and protocols
• Ensure comprehensive tracheostomy care as needed
Requirements:
• Valid nursing certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent experience in medication administration
• Knowledge of complex continuing care and gerontology
• Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated reliability and flexibility in teamwork
