Pursue an opportunity as an Orthopaedic Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. This role covers pre-operative assessments and post-operative patient education.
Sunnybrook is in search of an experienced Registered Nurse who specializes in orthopaedics and has deep knowledge of Joint Replacement Surgeries. This individual will be responsible for educating patients through the surgical process, conducting comprehensive assessments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Strong organizational skills and clinical assessment proficiency are key to thrive in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Offer patient education before and after surgeries
• Collaborate with medical professionals and Nursing teams
• Conduct and document thorough Nursing assessments
• Participate in quality improvement and educational initiatives
• Assist with various patient care needs across departments
Requirements:
• Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Current BCLS Certificate required
• Proven surgical nursing experience (5 years)
• Health Assessment course is essential
• Leadership and excellent communication skills
