Occupational Health Nurse at Humber River

Enhance workplace safety and health as an Occupational Health Nurse at Humber River Health. You will conduct health surveillance, manage diseases, and support a healthy environment for staff and volunteers.

As part of a temporary part-time role reporting to the Director of Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness, you'll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with health regulations. Key responsibilities include conducting pre-placement assessments, delivering health promotion education, and participating in outbreak management. Your expertise will directly contribute to the safety and wellness of the Humber River Health community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct health reviews and validate immunization status

• Provide first aid and clinical intervention as needed

• Manage blood-borne pathogen exposure cases

• Develop and implement health education initiatives

• Collaborate on attendance program processes

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• 3-5 years acute care nursing experience required

• Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred

• Strong proficiency in MS Office and healthcare systems

• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
