As a Registered Nurse in the D5 Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery unit, you'll provide essential assessment and intervention for patients with higher acuity needs. Collaborate with interprofessional teams to support education, advocacy, and a commitment to person-centred care. Your expertise in pre-op and post-op surgical care will ensure better recovery outcomes for diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and care planning
• Perform pre-op and post-op interventions effectively
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes
• Provide education to patients and their families
• Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system
Requirements:
• Current Registration with the CNO
• Valid B.C.L.S. certification
•
B.Sc.N. is preferred
• Surgical care experience in fast-paced environments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
