Humber River Health is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for our Oncology Daycare Unit. This temporary full-time role emphasizes patient-centered care in a collaborative environment.
As an RPN, you will provide patient care aligned with Nursing standards and assist in executing cancer treatment plans.
Your role involves health education, symptom management for patients, and working closely with a team of healthcare professionals. You’ll utilize the Meditech system for accurate patient documentation and contribute to ongoing care quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide focused cancer care based on patient needs
• Collaborate with RNs and wider healthcare team
• Monitor and document patient symptoms effectively
• Participate in training for new staff and students
• Contribute to hospital committees as needed
Requirements:
• Graduate of a two-year RPN program
• Active registration with the Ontario Nursing College
• At least 2 years of current oncology experience
• Certification in Chemotherapy Administration within 1 year
• Excellent assessment and communication abilities
