Registered Practical Nurse in Geriatric Care

Step into a rewarding role as a Registered Practical Nurse at Baycrest Hospital in the LTLD Rehabilitation Unit. Provide quality care to geriatrics and support their journey to independence.

This part-time, temporary position lasts up to 24 months with a focus on geriatric rehabilitation for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. You'll work collaboratively to assess and address their emotional and physical needs. Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and a valid BCLS certificate are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and deliver nursing interventions and treatments

• Tailor personal care plans within an interdisciplinary team

• Manage medication administration effectively

• Attend to clients’ emotional and recreational needs

• Work alongside Registered Nurses for optimal care

Requirements:

• Valid CNO registration

• BCLS Level C certification required

• Experience in geriatric care preferred

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Basic knowledge of Meditech, Word, and Excel
