As a member of the multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse provides compassionate and competent care according to UHN's high standards. This role is critical for postoperative patients transferring from surgery to recovery, ensuring their safety and comfort during a dynamic care process where teamwork is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide post-operative monitoring and patient care
• Administer various types of anesthesia as needed
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team to enhance care
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical nursing standards
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care practices
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Completion of Critical Care Certificate program
• Minimum two years Medical/Surgical experience
• Previous PACU or critical care experience preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
