As a Registered Practical Nurse at Compass Homecare, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on clients' lives by providing compassionate care tailored to individual needs. Reporting to the Client Services Coordinator, you will administer medications, conduct health assessments, and provide crucial emotional support. The part-time positions include opportunities for ongoing overnight assignments depending on client needs and your availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care according to individualized care plans
• Administer medications and monitor client health outcomes
• Perform clinical procedures including wound care and injections
• Monitor and report significant changes in client status
• Maintain accurate documentation using electronic systems
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Strong communication skills in English
• Previous home care or community nursing experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
