Join Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse specializing in surgical care for neurosurgery and orthopaedics. This role focuses on comprehensive patient care and interprofessional collaboration.
In the D5 Neurosurgery and Orthopaedic Surgery unit, your primary responsibility will be providing care for patients with complex needs. You will utilize your skills in pre-op and post-op care while actively engaging with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. A commitment to Person-Centred Care principles will guide your daily practice and patient interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and manage care for high acuity patients
• Execute pre-operative and post-operative nursing interventions
• Collaborate effectively with the interprofessional care team
• Educate patients and families on care procedures
• Advocate for person-centred approaches in nursing care
Requirements:
• CNO registration and active B.C.L.S. certification
• Preferred
B.Sc.N. in nursing
• Experience in surgical environments with multitasking ability
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Team-oriented attitude for collaboration
