Registered Nurse Transfusion Medicine Clinic

As a vital member of the clinic’s team, you will provide comprehensive patient care in accordance with the College of Nurses standards. Your responsibilities will include patient assessment, interventions, education, and advocacy, ensuring adherence to the Person Centred Care principles. Previous nursing experience is essential, particularly in critical care or oncology, as you engage with patients requiring IVIG and therapeutic phlebotomies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for transfusion-related services

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and interventions

• Educate patients on their treatment options and procedures

• Advocate for patient needs in a multidisciplinary team

• Utilize advanced nursing competencies for blood product administration

Requirements:

• Current Ontario RN Registration with BCLS certification

• Minimum two years nursing experience required

• BScN degree preferred; critical care experience is a plus

• Venipuncture and IV Certification essential

• Proven ability to work effectively in stressful environments
