Join the team at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a Registered Nurse focused on intensive care for cardiovascular patients. Engage in patient education, advocacy, and assessment to enhance care quality.
This position emphasizes patient-centered care principles, supporting cardiovascular patients during intensive recovery. The Registered Nurse will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide quality interventions and promote patient understanding of their health conditions. Teamwork and collaboration are vital to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor cardiovascular patients' health status
• Intervene with targeted treatments and care plans
• Educate patients about their cardiac health and recovery
• Advocate for best practices in patient care
• Work closely with healthcare professionals to optimize outcomes
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• One year recent ICU experience required
• Completion of Coronary Care Course I & II
• Experience with venipuncture required
• Ongoing professional development in cardiology
