Surgical Day Care Registered Nurse

Become a vital member of the Surgical Day Care team at Humber River Health. This part-time role emphasizes patient care pre-op and post-operatively while leveraging advanced technology for documentation.

Humber River Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Surgical Day Care team at the Wilson Site. The temporary part-time position requires availability for staggered shifts between 06:00 and 21:00, Monday to Friday. Successful candidates will utilize computerized systems for efficient care management and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pre-op and post-operative patient care

• Coordinate care planning with team members

• Document patient care using computerized systems

• Participate in project teams and Hospital committees

• Care for patients post-diagnostic interventions

Requirements:

• Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum 2 years recent surgical experience

• Proficiency in initiating IV therapy

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
