UHN, recognized as Canada’s top research hospital, is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. This permanent part-time role involves planning, managing, and coordinating nursing care within an inter-professional team. Leveraging expertise, you will educate patients and families while providing leadership and mentorship to new staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate nursing care for dementia patients
• Provide education to families and community providers
• Participate in team care planning and family conferences
• Mentor students and new staff in geriatric rehabilitation
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and policies
Requirements:
• Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• 2-5 years experience with advanced dementia patients
• Preferred Baccalaureate degree in Nursing
• Certification in gerontology is an asset
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills
