PACU Registered Nurse at Sunnybrook

Join Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre as a dedicated PACU Registered Nurse, specializing in post-operative care and patient advocacy. You will assess, intervene, educate, and support patients through their recovery journey.

In this role, you will provide crucial care to post-operative patients in phases 1 and 2 of recovery. With a minimum of two years of recent post-surgical experience and critical care training, you will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage primary care for post-operative patients

• Conduct thorough patient assessments in recovery phases

• Educate patients on their care and recovery processes

• Advocate for patient needs within the healthcare team

• Maintain adherence to care standards and practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent post-surgical experience

• Critical Care Course completion

• Venipuncture and IV Certification mandatory

• Current Ontario Registration required

• Participation in quality improvement initiatives
