Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Practical Nurse at Sinai Health, focusing on surgical oncology at Mount Sinai Hospital. Deliver exceptional care for recovering surgical patients.
In our surgical oncology unit, you’ll provide a mix of direct care and support for patients post-GI, breast, or urology surgery. You will assess patient needs, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and mentor aspiring nurses. Our Magnet®-designated facility emphasizes clinical excellence and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage direct patient care for surgical clients
• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments
• Assist in administering treatments and medications
• Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and meetings
• Aid in mentoring new nursing staff and learners
Requirements:
• Valid membership with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• 2 years of clinical acute care experience desired
• Strong skills in assessment and communication
