Registered Nurse BIR Care Clinic

Make a difference at Scarborough Health Network as a Registered Nurse in the BIR Sexual Assault Care Clinic. Provide essential medical and crisis support while working flexible shifts.

This role is pivotal as you deliver immediate care to victims of sexual assault and domestic violence at the Birchmount Site. You will report to the Regional Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Care Centre Manager, handling all shifts and on-call requirements. Your expertise in physical assessment and crisis intervention will be crucial in this compassionate and sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate medical care for assault victims

• Assess and respond to clients' physical needs

• Communicate effectively with diverse client backgrounds

• Advocate for clients and collaborate with community services

• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in practice

Requirements:

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Current BCLS certification

• Proven experience in crisis intervention

• Strong communication and advocacy skills

• Ability to work independently and on-call
