Join CAMH as a Psychiatric Nurse to provide crucial care in a community-focused environment. This full-time position emphasizes client-centered support and recovery-oriented practices.
As part of the Downtown West Flexible Assertive Community Treatment Team, this role allows you to engage with clients experiencing mental health challenges. You'll perform comprehensive assessments, collaborate on care plans, and advocate for clients' needs while ensuring they receive the resources they require for recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver client-centered psychiatric and nursing care
• Assess new referrals and monitor existing clients’ progress
• Foster communication and partnerships with community resources
• Participate in program development and clinical supervision
• Document client care and interventions accurately
Requirements:
• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum two years of nursing experience
• Knowledge of psychiatric nursing and addiction issues
• Proficient in supervision and education within a team
• Experience with diverse populations preferred
