Part-Time Registered Practical Nurse at Baycrest

Be a vital part of patient care at Baycrest Hospital as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in our Cognitive Support Unit. This temporary part-time role supports residents with cognitive and physical challenges on an engaging team.

As a Registered Practical Nurse in the Apotex 6 unit, you will provide essential client-centered care under the collaborative guidance of Registered Nurses. Your responsibilities will include delivering nursing interventions, conducting assessments, and evaluating care plans. Experience in geriatric care and dementia-related support is essential for providing comprehensive and compassionate services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver client-centered care and assess patient needs

• Administer medications and perform nursing interventions

• Collaborate on individualized care plans with RNs

• Plan and evaluate nursing interventions regularly

• Support personal care and recreation needs for clients

Requirements:

• Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification

• Preferred experience in Long-Term Care settings

• Preferred psychogeriatric and dementia care experience

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
