As a Family Birthing Centre RN, you will engage in both labor and postpartum units within an interprofessional team. Your responsibility includes establishing therapeutic patient relationships, coordinating care, and advocating for wellness. Your expertise will contribute to nursing excellence, ensuring effective teaching strategies and reflective practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for decisions and professional practice
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients
• Collaborate with interprofessional care teams
• Organize and coordinate nursing care activities
• Document assessments and care provision
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent intrapartum and postpartum experience
• Obstetrics/Perinatal Certificate within 3 years
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to speak a second language an asset
