As a Registered Practical Nurse on our 9 East Unit team, you'll administer care to nephrology patients, coordinate care with healthcare professionals, and implement documentation systems to enhance efficiency. This role requires working on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities:
• Execute RN responsibilities for nephrology-focused patients
• Coordinate care planning with healthcare team members
• Utilize computerized systems for patient documentation
• Participate in project teams and hospital committees
• Precept nursing students during their clinical experience
Requirements:
• Graduate from an approved RPN two-year diploma
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• One year of recent medical experience in nephrology
• BCLS certification and nephrology courses preferred
• Competency in various nursing skills, including intravenous therapy
