In this crucial role, you will work collaboratively with an inter-principal team to deliver safe and ethical nursing care during acute psychiatric crises. Your expertise in crisis assessment, intervention, and referrals will make a significant impact on patients with severe mental illnesses and substance use issues. Key Responsibilities:
• Provide holistic, evidence-based patient care
• Establish therapeutic relationships with patients
• Coordinate and communicate patient care activities
• Engage in critical inquiry and select appropriate interventions
• Document observations, assessments, and care provision
Requirements:
• Current General Class Registration with Ontario College of Nurses
• BLS Certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention certification preferred
• Experience with severe mental illnesses and substance use
• Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
