Registered Practical Nurse Role

Engage with residents at Extendicare as a Registered Practical Nurse in a rewarding part-time role. Provide compassionate, patient-focused care while ensuring compliance with health standards and regulations.

As part of the Extendicare team, you will assess and implement care plans, educate families, and respond to medical emergencies. Your ability to communicate effectively and coordinate care will be vital in delivering a supportive environment for residents. Strong clinical knowledge will underpin your approach to managing each resident's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement care/service plans and evaluate their effectiveness

• Conduct resident assessments and maintain accurate documentation

• Assist in scheduling care conferences and aid family education

• Delegate tasks and guide unregulated care providers

• Address resident concerns by coordinating support with management

Requirements:

• Active registration as a Registered Practical Nurse

• Preferred experience in long-term care or rehabilitation settings

• Current certification in First Aid and Basic Cardiac Life Support

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and care coordination

• Recent completion of Vulnerable Position Screening required
