Advance your nursing career with Sunnybrook as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care setting. Your focus will be on providing vital care and support to critically ill patients across both ICUs and the Emergency Department.
As part of the Critical Care Nursing Resource Team, you will report to the Patient Care Manager, emphasizing Patient-Centred Care. This role includes assessing patient needs, delivering interventions, and advocating for patients and their families. Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills will be essential in this fast-paced role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct assessments and interventions for critical patients
• Advocate for patients and educate families about care
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide support
• Adapt to care needs in both ICU and Emergency settings
• Follow Ontario Nursing Practice standards
Requirements:
• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Current BCLS certification; ACLS preferred
• Essential Critical Care Certificate
• Commitment to continuing professional development
• Ability to work independently and in teams
