Registered Practical Nurse in Cognitive Support

Join Baycrest Hospital as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in the Apotex 6 Cognitive Support Unit. This temporary part-time position offers a chance to make a significant impact in geriatric health care.

Your role will focus on delivering quality health care services to residents with varying cognitive and physical abilities. You'll collaborate with a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, and evaluate nursing care. Experience in dementia and long-term care is preferred to ensure effective, individualized support and intervention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with RNs for quality health care delivery

• Plan nursing interventions and administer treatments

• Conduct thorough client assessments regularly

• Develop and evaluate personalized care plans

• Provide holistic support for clients’ needs

Requirements:

• Valid registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required

• Experience in Long-Term Care settings preferred

• Knowledge of psychogeriatric care and dementia

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
