Join the dynamic Medical Withdrawal Service as a full-time Registered Practical Nurse s role requires a blend of nursing skills and compassion to support clients with severe substance use and mental health conditions.
Become a key member of a collaborative team dedicated to providing care through evidence-based practices. As an RPN, you will continuously assess clients' health while using harm reduction strategies and motivational interviewing to guide them towards recovery. Your expertise will help stabilize patients’ conditions while addressing their unique challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess clients’ physiological and psychological stability
• Administer medications safely via IV and perform wound care
• Monitor client progress using standardized protocols
• Employ motivational interviewing techniques for support
• Collaborate with an interprofessional team for comprehensive care
Requirements:
• Registered RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate
• Experience with mental health and addictions is an asset
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Bilingualism in French/English is preferred
