Become integral to elderly care as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Baycrest Hospital's Apotex 6 unit. This part-time position highlights personalized nursing in a dementia care setting.
As an RPN, you will provide essential support within an interdisciplinary team focused on comprehensive care for residents facing cognitive and physical challenges. Your responsibilities include conducting assessments, managing medications, and adjusting care plans in collaboration with RNs, emphasizing a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive assessments of client needs
• Assist in administering medications and treatments
• Work with RNs to revise individualized care plans
• Engage in personal care and recreational activities
• Deliver holistic nursing interventions with compassion
Requirements:
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Preferred experience in geriatric or long-term care
• Knowledge of dementia care approaches and interventions
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities
