In this role, the Registered Practical Nurse will support the Nursing Department by directing PSWs and ensuring excellent care services in long-term care settings. Your responsibilities will include creating and implementing individualized care plans, administering treatments, and maintaining thorough documentation of residents’ health. This position also requires strong communication skills to build rapport with residents and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee PSWs for effective daily care
• Create and implement resident-specific care plans
• Administer medications and document health updates
• Analyze data to improve care delivery
• Engage with residents and families about care
Requirements:
• Diploma in Practical Nursing required
• Legally registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Experience in supervising care staff
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
