Humber River Health seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for the Nephrology, 9 East Unit, within the Acute Inpatient Medicine Program. This permanent part-time position involves managing nephrology-focused patient care, utilizing computerized systems, and collaborating with healthcare teams.
Your role includes supervising nursing students and participating in hospital committees to enhance care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage RN responsibilities for patients with nephrology needs
• Coordinate care plans with multidisciplinary team members
• Utilize computer systems for accurate patient documentation
• Mentor nursing students through preceptorship
• Participate in hospital project teams and committees
Requirements:
• Graduate from a recognized RPN diploma program
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• One year experience focusing on nephrology care
• Knowledge of peritoneal dialysis processes preferred
• Competency in medical skills like IV therapy and wound care
