Join Humber River Health as a Temporary Full-time Registered Nurse in our innovative Paediatric Inpatient Unit, focusing on patient-centered care and family support. Deliver exceptional care to ensure positive outcomes for children aged 0-18.
In this role, you will evaluate and manage pediatric patients while fostering effective communication with families. Key responsibilities include facilitating discharge planning, performing phlebotomy, and rotating to the Surgical Day Care as needed. Bring your pediatric nursing experience to our dedicated team and contribute to high-quality healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient assessments with a focus on children’s needs
• Educate and support families throughout treatment
• Assist in coordinating discharge planning for young patients
• Rotate regularly to the Surgical Day Care for exposure
• Collect blood specimens and manage intravenous therapy
Requirements:
• RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current BCLS/CPR certification required upon hire
• NRP certificate required or to be obtained
• PALS certification to be completed within six months
• Experience working in pediatric settings necessary
