Elevate your nursing career with Yee Hong as a Hospice Registered Practical Nurse, focusing on palliative care. Your expertise will provide essential support to patients and their families during challenging times.
In this critical role, you will apply your nursing skills based on the standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario, ensuring a resident-centered approach. You'll oversee Personal Support Workers, assist with patient assessments, and facilitate interdisciplinary care. Your ability to communicate effectively with families will enhance their support system during the end-of-life journey.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise care provided by Personal Support Workers on the unit
• Communicate timely updates to families and providers
• Implement nursing processes for patient evaluation and support
• Monitor adherence to health regulations and standards
• Provide risk management and infection control oversight
Requirements:
• Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses, Ontario
• Palliative Nursing certification an asset
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Leadership experience in a healthcare setting
• Willingness to work in varying shifts
Contribute to compassionate patient care while guiding families through their hospice experience as a Registered Practical Nurse.
