Registered Nurse - Adult Mental Health Unit

In this temporary full-time role, you will leverage your clinical skills in mental health nursing to provide high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include acute assessments, performing crisis interventions, and leading therapeutic activities for patients. The ability to work flexible shifts is required, along with the readiness to assist in different mental health units when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive assessments for mental health patients
• Use primary care nursing model to deliver patient-centered care
• Execute crisis interventions and mental status assessments
• Organize and lead individual/group counselling
• Serve as a resource/team leader when needed
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS/CPR certification required
• Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing preferred
• 2 years of recent experience in mental health nursing
• Proficient in psychiatric assessments and risk evaluation
