Take on a vital role as a Registered Practical Nurse in CAMH's Medical Withdrawal Service, focusing on supporting clients with substance use challenges. This full-time position is essential for patient recovery and stabilization.
Become a crucial member of the team dedicated to using evidence-based practice in a supportive environment. You will perform comprehensive assessments, deliver safe medication administration, and provide necessary care in a patient-centric setting. Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and monitor clients’ physiological and mental health
• Safely administer medications and conduct wound care
• Evaluate clients’ progress with standardized tools
• Utilize motivational interviewing to support recovery goals
• Work collaboratively with a dedicated care team
Requirements:
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RPN
• Must have a current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certification
• Experience in psychiatric nursing preferred
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Bilingual skills in French/English are an advantage
