Position: Collaborative Registered Practical Nurse Role

In this collaborative role, you will assess risk factors and implement de-escalation strategies across our adolescent and adult wards. Having a commitment to ongoing professional development and quality improvement will be crucial. You will play a key role in ensuring safe and ethical care for all patients under your supervision while prioritizing effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute ongoing risk assessments for patient care

• Implement de-escalation techniques for patient interaction

• Demonstrate physical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Contribute to a culture of quality improvement

• Work with RNs and professionals on patient assignments

Requirements:

• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Hold an RPN diploma and current B.C.L.S. Certificate

• Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention

• Knowledge and experience with psychiatric patient management

• Commitment to high-quality, ethical patient care
