Carecor is looking for dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) specialized in ICU care to join our amazing team working in Greater Toronto Area hospitals. We’re ready when you are! Under the direction of the facility charge nurse, you will provide care according to the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Standards of Practice of Carecor and the healthcare facility where assigned - helping foster an environment of optimal physical, social, and emotional well-being for patients.
For each assignment, you will be in one facility for a full 12hour shift. This is a Casual position with flexible shifts.
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides specialized, high-quality nursing care to critically ill or unstable patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced medical interventions. The ICU Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care while collaborating closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.

- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely and accurately.
- Coordinate care with physicians, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate interventions.
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for patients' physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent from an accredited program
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
