Compassionate Registered Practical Nurse Position

Make a difference at Yee Hong as a compassionate Registered Practical Nurse. This role involves providing high-quality palliative care while supervising support staff and coordinating patient services.

As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will follow the guidelines set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, ensuring that care remains resident-centered. You will not only manage daily operations with Personal Support Workers but also maintain effective communication with patient families throughout the care process. Your focus will be on supporting individuals in the hospice environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement nursing processes and document residents’ conditions

• Supervise and mentor Personal Support Workers for optimal care

• Facilitate communication among the interdisciplinary team

• Conduct safety assessments and manage care standards

• Control medication records and inventory on the unit

Requirements:

• Active Registered Practical Nurse certification in Ontario

• Experience in palliative care is beneficial

• Current CPR certification required

• Proficient in English with strong communication skills

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights
