This role focuses on delivering comprehensive care to both female and male survivors of violence. You will engage in physical and emotional assessments, provide crisis counseling, and carry out necessary medical procedures. Your contributions are key to fostering a safe, supportive environment for those in need.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver emergency care for survivors of violence
• Conduct physical exams and collect hospital specimens
• Provide emotional support and crisis interventions
• Maintain thorough patient documentation as per guidelines
• Participate in program research and outreach activities
Requirements:
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
• Strong crisis management and assessment abilities
• Experience in emergency care preferred
