Extendicare seeks a skilled part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to elevate healthcare standards in our long-term care home. The role involves providing direct patient care, managing nursing staff, and ensuring compliance with nursing principles and administrative policies. Your expertise will help foster a safe and supportive atmosphere for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations
• Assist with patient assessments and care plan development
• Oversee the performance of nursing staff in assigned units
• Conduct performance evaluations and address issues promptly
• Provide leadership in the absence of the Director of Care
Requirements:
• Current certificate of competence in nursing
• Registered or eligible for registration as an RN
• Experience in community or long-term care settings
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
