Join the Toronto Rehab Institute as a Registered Practical Nurse and support comprehensive spinal cord rehabilitation. This permanent full-time role emphasizes patient safety and collaborative care.
Scheduled for 37.5 hours a week with shifts in both days and evenings, your expertise will directly benefit neurological patients. Engage in care planning, patient education, and mentorship, all while contributing to an effective inter-professional team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate patients and their families on care needs
• Collaborate within an inter-professional care team
• Ensure competency in patient care practices
• Actively mentor RPN students and new colleagues
• Uphold patient safety and hospital policies
Requirements:
• Valid RPN certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Recent rehabilitation nursing experience needed
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required
• Familiarity with rehabilitation principles
• Ability to manage multiple patient care needs effectively
