In this permanent full-time role, you will demonstrate clinical autonomy and leadership focused on geriatric patients facing acute and chronic illnesses. You’ll work closely with staff to promote advanced skills and implement best practices within the Emergency Department. Your strategic influence will be vital for setting nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform comprehensive assessments for geriatric patients
• Guide and support nursing staff in skill development
• Conduct quality improvement and administrative functions
• Lead research activities and educational initiatives
• Provide consultancy services to the healthcare community
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in nursing or recognized equivalent
• Five years of experience in acute care settings
• Preferred certification in gerontology
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Valid registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario
