Humber River Health is recruiting a temporary Registered Practical Nurse for our Surgical Inpatient Unit, set in North West Toronto. This role requires a commitment to patient health teaching, medication administration, and various nursing skills. Candidates should possess current RPN registration and a dedication to equitable healthcare practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide patient care in the Surgical Inpatient Unit
• Administer medications and wound care as needed
• Perform intravenous therapy and blood transfusions
• Educate patients on health and recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements:
• Graduate from a two-year RPN program
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• BCLS certification valid
• Minimum one year of acute surgical experience
• Basic computer skills with Meditech knowledge
