Become a Registered Nurse in UHN's Geriatric Functional Enhancement Service located at West Park Healthcare Centre. Deliver comprehensive nursing care for geriatric and frail seniors while working in a collaborative interdisciplinary team.
UHN, Canada’s premier hospital, seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse in a temporary full-time role. This position emphasizes patient assessment and management through supportive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative care. You will engage with patients and families, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment while promoting health and wellness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for patients
• Educate families and community providers on patient care
• Participate in inter-professional team planning and discussions
• Provide mentorship to new staff and nursing students
• Comply with patient safety plans and hospital policies
Requirements:
• Diploma in Nursing with possible preference for a Baccalaureate degree
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Experience with geriatric and frail seniors populations
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Computer literacy with Electronic Patient Record systems
