Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Emergency nursing expertise meets trauma assessment at Sunnybrook, where Registered Nurses provide patient-focused care with multidisciplinary teams.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, this Registered Nurse provides primary care for Emergency and Trauma patients. The work includes assessment, intervention, education, and patient advocacy. The nurse supports Sunnybrook’s Person-Focused Care philosophy, Mission, and Values while collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• Provide primary care for Emergency and Trauma patients
• Assess patient needs and deliver appropriate interventions
• Educate patients and families throughout emergency care
• Advocate for patients within the healthcare team
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and patient families

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Two years recent Emergency or ICU experience required
• Current B.C.L.S. and A.C.L.S. certification or Basic Arrhythmia Course
• Baccalaureate Nursing degree preferred; TNCC and ENPC preferred
• Critical thinking, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
