Student Health Emergency Nurse

Respond to student health needs at The Bishop Strachan School as an on-site Relief Wellness Nurse with clinical and emergency expertise. Work 8:00 am to 4:00 pm as needed.
This casual nursing position serves students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. You will attend emergencies, deliver individualized care, and collaborate with Student Well-being colleagues and senior leaders. The work includes medication practices, health assessments, medical testing, and parent communication.
Key Responsibilities:- Attend student health emergencies and coordinate EMS calls
- Collaborate with Student Well-being on student health needs
- Identify health challenges through forms and communication
- Communicate with parents, supporters, and external medical specialists
- Advocate for students through non-judgmental, individualized care
- Current good-standing registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Professional nursing education and legislative practice knowledge
- Youth experience, preferably within an educational setting
- Strong clinical, emergency, and independent practice capabilities
- Experience with counseling and crisis intervention strategies
Use emergency nursing, collaboration, and youth-care experience to support students and families at The Bishop Strachan School.
