Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse

Provide developmentally appropriate neonatal nursing care at Sunnybrook using assessment, clinical judgment, and family-focused communication. Work within established nursing standards and multidisciplinary practice.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Registered Nurse follows Neonatal Nursing Practice standards supported by PCMCH. The position includes assessing infants, planning care, evaluating outcomes, documenting interventions, and supporting parents. Care aligns with Sunnybrook’s Patient-Focused Care principles, Mission and Values, and College of Nurses of Ontario standards.

• Assess infants and identify nursing diagnoses
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and document developmental care
• Provide parents with support, teaching, and information
• Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team
• Practice according to neonatal nursing standards

• Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses
• Current Level II or Level III NICU experience
• Experience with ventilators, central lines, medications, and fluid management
• Required neonatal courses and breastfeeding preparation
• Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, and teamwork abilities
