Camp Wahanowin is a children’s overnight summer camp nestled on 100 acres of scenic wilderness on the shores of Lake Couchiching in Orillia, Ontario. Since 1955, Wahanowin has been a place where young people aged 6–16 build lifelong friendships, expand their confidence, and discover their best selves through engaging activities, community living, and tradition-rich camp life. Rooted in values of respect, growth, community, and tradition, we’re looking for dedicated, enthusiastic staff to help make each summer unforgettable for our campers.

Join our Staff Team and experience the magic of Waha! Most roles are for the summer season, but some spots are available for the Spring and Fall Outdoor Education Season. Work, play, and make memories that last a lifetime—right here at camp!

INSPIRING CONFIDENCE, ONE CLIMB AT A TIME

Camp Wahanowin is seeking enthusiastic and responsible team members to join our Ropes Team. Our program includes an extensive high and low ropes course, a climbing wall, and a zip line, offering campers exciting opportunities to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience through adventure-based programming.

Ropes Team members will receive on-site training to safely operate all equipment and deliver programming; however, prior experience with climbing and/or ropes is required. Team members play a key role in creating safe, supportive, and engaging experiences for campers of all ages.

The ideal candidate has experience teaching ropes or climbing activities to children, enjoys working as part of a team, and has a genuine love of the outdoors, camping, and youth development. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about adventure education and helping young people grow through challenge and exploration.
