As an Animal Control Officer 2, you will work in diverse settings, conducting assessments on residential and commercial properties. Your experience with animal care and law enforcement will be essential in addressing complaints and ensuring compliance with the City of Toronto Municipal Code. You will take on a mix of responsibilities, from issuing compliance orders to handling peaceful animal captures and providing public education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough inspections of urban properties
• Investigate animal complaints under city regulations
• Handle and transport domestic and wild animals safely
• Prepare detailed reports and legal documentation
• Attend court to provide evidence on animal-related cases
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in Law enforcement or related fields
• Experience in animal care and law enforcement
• Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's License
• Physical strength and agility for animal handling
• Ability to handle rotating shifts and emergencies
