Position: Seasonal Gardener Role in Midland
Embark on a rewarding gardening career with the Town of Midland as a Seasonal Gardener on a 12-month contract. This position emphasizes seasonal care and municipal service.

In this dynamic role, you'll manage our horticultural program, supervising gardening operations and spearheading community beautification efforts. You’ll need strong communication skills to interact with residents and guide your gardening team effectively while transitioning into winter maintenance tasks such as snow clearing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage seasonal gardens' planting and care efforts

• Provide leadership and direction to the gardening crew

• Perform soil tests and improve plant health standards

• Keep detailed records of horticultural activities

• Respond courteously to public inquiries about plant care

Requirements:

• Education in horticulture or a related area required

• Minimum of three years in horticulture practice

• Hold a valid Ontario “G” driver’s license

• Familiarity with environmental standards is an asset

• Good communication and planning skills needed
