University Health Network (UHN), Canada’s premier research hospital, seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician for a full-time role. You will ensure animal husbandry, health monitoring, and technical services in a multi-species environment. The role involves communicating day-to-day with clinical veterinarians and managing the welfare of the animals in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily feeding, watering, and cage changing for animals

• Maintain environmental enrichment according to species needs

• Monitor animal health and report issues to veterinarians

• Execute veterinary care instructions for treatments and drug administration

• Ensure compliance with provincial and federal animal care protocols

Requirements:

• Completion of Veterinary Technology community college program

• One year of practical experience or two years of training

• Familiarity with large animals in a research setting

• WHMIS training and proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
